When a B2B buyer searches for a solution on Google, they don't see one result. They see a page full of them. The question is how many of those positions belong to you.

Here's what that looks like across a commercial query today:

AI Overview -- Citations at the top of the page shape how buyers understand the competitive landscape before they click anything. Being included there puts your brand inside Google's narrative about the category.

Top paid position -- Guaranteed visibility. When the same company holds the top ad spot and the top organic result, the combined presence signals authority, even if the buyer doesn't consciously notice the overlap.

Video carousel -- YouTube results are now surfacing on many commercial queries. If you have content matched to what buyers are actually searching, you can own visual space that a lot of competitors are ignoring.

#1 organic result -- Still the place where serious evaluation happens. Most buyers eventually land here to go deeper.

Third-party sites -- Industry directories, review platforms, and comparison sites rank independently for "best vendor" searches and function as outside validators. Showing up there at the same time you appear in ads and organic results compounds credibility.

Secondary SERP features -- People Also Search For, related panels, recommendation modules. Lower volume individually, but each one is another exposure point.

The common thread is repetition. Buyers who encounter the same brand across multiple sections of the same results page build familiarity faster than any single placement can create alone.

You can now add annotations in Google Search Console by right-clicking on the performance chart. If you experienced a decrease in impressions following Google's removal of the &num=100 parameter, you should probably note this in your account.

Here's a copy/paste annotation you can add in mid-September 2025 (on the date you see a drop in impressions, if you do):

"Note: Drop in impressions starting Sept 2025 is due to Google’s removal of the &num=100 parameter."
