Audio might not be enough. Nearly half of people say they’d like video to accompany their podcast, according to a 2022 Morning Consult survey. Why? Audiences enjoy watching the facial expressions and reactions of hosts and guests. Plus, 50% say they can focus better on the content when watching a video.

According to marketers in the U.S., podcasts are one of their top sources of business-related content or thought leadership content.

Done right, podcasts are like all the best features of media rolled into one beautifully portable package. It’s no wonder listeners are tuning in. And no wonder the smartest companies—from GE to Gucci—are looking to create the next binge-worthy podcast.

Just look at the numbers: 144 million monthly U.S. podcast listeners are expected by the end of 2025, per eMarketer.
