Terms and Conditions for 3D Printing Chicago that were last updated in 2022:

1. Customer Responsibility

Customers are solely responsible for the content of any 3D print files they provide to 3D Printing Chicago. By uploading files through this website or placing an order here or in person, via phone, email or text messaging, the customer takes full responsibility for ensuring that the item is legal to 3D print under both federal and state law. The customer acknowledges that they have the intellectual property rights to 3D print the model(s) they provide and that they will not infringe on any third-party rights.

2. Prohibited Uses

Customers are prohibited from utilizing our services to produce items that are illegal or violate any laws or regulations, including but not limited to:

- Illegal fi****ms or firearm components, including ghost guns.
- Items intended for illicit or harmful purposes.
- Any designs that infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.

Examples of legal items include Nerf and paintball guns, replica weapons, toys, gaming guns, props, and manufacturing prototypes.
We are not responsible for differentiating the legality or IP status of any file submitted; that is the sole responsibility of the customer.


3. Indemnification

Customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless 3D Printing Chicago, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to the production of illegal items or any infringement of intellectual property rights.


4. Liability Limitation

3D Printing Chicago shall not be liable for any damages arising from the misuse of 3D printed items or for any unlawful activities conducted using items produced through our services. The customer acknowledges that they are solely responsible for the legality and safety of the items produced.


5. Intellectual Property Rights

All designs submitted by customers remain the intellectual property of the customer, provided that they have the legal right to use those designs. 3D Printing Chicago protects the confidentiality of your designs and the safekeeping of your files. We are available to sign an NDA if desired.


6. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with federal and state law, including the laws of Illinois and the customer's state, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

7. Acceptance of Terms

By utilizing our services, customers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
