Tehama Group Communications Tehama Group Communications is Chico State’s student-managed, full service public relations agency. Our agency operates just like any other PR agency.

Tehama Group Communications is a student-managed public relations agency at Chico State under the Department of Journalism and Public Relations. Each semester our talented writers, editing rock stars, social media mavens and inspired designers and photographers work together to fulfill the various requests of our clients. We do everything from managing clients' accounts to making key decisions in how the agency operates. We develop new skill sets and build strong relationships with one another that often extend far beyond the agency.

Last semester, Tehama Group Communications worked with Touch a Truck founder Emory Gibbons. The team helped plan the Touch a Truck fundraising event for the Chico community creating design elements and recruiting sponsors and vendors.

In a recent Chico Enterprise-Record article, Touch a Truck event gets kids behind the wheel, Gibbons recognizes TGC for our work, stating “With help from Tehama Group Communications—Chico State’s student-managed public relations agency—the team began recruiting vendors and sponsors.”

Joerly is a Public Relations major with a minor in Women’s Studies. This is her second semester with TGC, where she currently serves as General Manager.

Through her time in the organization, she has continued to grow as a leader while gaining hands-on experience in communication, teamwork and campaign management.

Outside of school, Joerly enjoys working out, listening to music and exploring new coffee shops.

Following graduation, she plans to move back to Los Angeles to begin her career in consumer public relations, where she hopes to build on her passion for storytelling and brand strategy.
