The Caribbean Music Awards 2026 Global Ambassador Honoree, Moses Shyne Barrow took the TODAY stage with TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle giving audiences a closer look at the man behind this year’s honor.

Born in Belize and shaped by a journey that has taken him from music to public service and global advocacy, Shyne opened up about his evolution as a changemaker and just how deeply this upcoming honor hits home for him, being recognized by a Caribbean community that has been a constant part of his life far beyond his upbringing and artistry.

He spoke about the significance of being celebrated alongside legends like Calypso Rose and Patra, while also sharing a more personal side of his life, including one of his most treasured roles as a father and bringing his mother with him to Trinidad for this special moment.

The conversation also touched on his forthcoming nationwide tour with Barrington Levy and Lil’ Cease, his reinvention and the next chapter of his story.

From Belize to TODAY to Trinidad, this is a chance to get to know the man behind the honor.
