No more running and chasing...
My movements have become abrasive.
I no longer am going to try
To catch not one eye
To pay attention to what I do.
All these years I've tried to
Find love through what others approved
And I cried to
Eyes flooding heavy with wondering why everyone will let me hang on their ankles
Knowing just how much love I have to give.
No thanks.
I'll pour it into myself.
And from now on everyone can have my back and shoulders when they turn in my direction
While I smile inside my soul
