Mood because Alive! turns 3 today! 🥂💛

What started as a dream, brainstorming sessions on paper, and figuring it out as we went has turned into clients we love, a close knit team, and work we are really proud of.

None of this happens without this community. Thank you for everyone who has supported this journey. Here's to what's next.

Think about an organization you really love and support. Is it easier to ask a friend, “Hey, will you donate to this org I care about?” or “Hey, do you want to come to this event with me? It’s raising money for an org I love!”

Obviously, the second is easier. And that’s the real value of in-person events. While the immediate impact may be fundraising dollars, long after the money is in the bank, the long-term investment is in the people who showed up.

Events cultivate a pipeline of future supporters years before they become your next board member, monthly donor, or even maybe a large sponsor. Events matter long after the day ends.

People decide whether to attend an event based on who else will be there. What does that mean for you, as the host organization?

A strong guest list is an incredibly important part of event strategy. The right mix of attendees creates built-in draw. It gives people a reason to show up beyond the program itself - if your friends are going, you want to be there too.

In traditional events, many people have used the strategy of having table hosts fill up seats at formal events. As we move into new event styles from activities to cocktail style events, it's valuable to still keep the table host mindset. That may look like inviting people to bring a "team" for an activity, offering buy one, get one tickets, or customizing it further for your specific event layout. Don't miss out on intentional invites to fill the room. Your guest's guest may be your next board member you just haven't met yet.
