Yesterday, Amazon announced several fee changes that will be rolling out throughout 2024. Some of these are huge wins for sellers, such as the Vine Program tier pricing; however, others can cause spin, such as the Low Inventory Fee.

Amazon sent an email to all sellers this morning reminding them of decreased storage levels in November, due to their focus on Outbound to Consumer Operations.

"Hello,

As previously announced, FBA capacity limits will be temporarily reduced in November to accommodate our increased focus on delivery operations. On average, capacity limits for November provide enough storage for five months of inventory.

In November and December, we'll focus on processing customer orders. This temporary shift may cause receiving delays, but will ensure faster delivery speed and maximize your sales potential during the holiday season.

To ensure that you remain within your November capacity limits, we recommend that you send any inventory intended for 2024 events, such as Lunar New Year, after December 31, 2023.

If you need more capacity after the holiday season, you can use Amazon Warehousing and Distribution to store your additional inventory and automatically replenish fulfillment centers.

View your capacity limits and capacity usage in the Capacity Monitor at the bottom of the FBA dashboard and you can request a limit increase with Capacity Manager if you need additional capacity.

Effective March 1, 2023, Amazon has increased their rebate from 5% to 10% on average. This rebate applies to sales of eligible parent ASINs that are new to FBA for brand owners who complete Brand Registry.
The rebate is available on up to 30 units for eligible oversize items for 90 days, and up to 100 units for eligible standard-size items for 120 days.
If you combine the New to FBA incentives with the “honeymoon” period, Amazon is setting sellers up for success. The “honeymoon” period refers to the period that exists within Amazon’s A9 algorithm for the first 14-30 days of a new product launch; it allows a new launch to rank without having a sales history.
