Since its scrappy beginnings, has always thrived when forced to do some creative problem solving. From dinners in an apple orchard to serving six and seven-course meals out of a closed bakery during its off-hours, Chef Brad Greenhill has always known how to pivot. In the spirit of the last ten years of TAKOI doing its own thing, the TAKOI Ten Year Anniversary Tour will include a series of unique pop-ups and collabs locally and away
Located in the Corktown neighborhood of Detroit, TAKOI began as a food truck in 2014 and then established their brick-and-mortar location in 2016. Known for its contemporary take on Thai cuisine that also celebrates Michigan seasonality, TAKOI also operates HiO Farm which is located just two miles north of the restaurant. Truly farm-to-table, with the addition of Thai pantry staples, it is not uncommon for ingredients to be delivered from the farm to the restaurant on an as-needed basis during dinner service.
