Half of all articles does not mean half of the most read articles, nor the most published. Trade mags and news outlets would be self-sabotaging to be overrun by this. Companies at the very least need research ability and knowledge to proofread and fact check, or a well-published agency with skilled technical writers and incredible amounts of research experience.

Email accounts are increasingly compromised by stolen cookies taken from users' browsers by nefarious websites.

Email accounts accessed via webmail can be your biggest vulnerability. If someone gains access to your Gmail, Outlook, AOL, Yahoo, or other email account, they can gain access to most any other account you have.

The FBI warns: “Cybercriminals are increasingly focused on stealing Remember-Me cookies and using them as their preferred way of accessing a victim’s email, to protect yourself from putting yourself at risk:

- Regularly clear your cookies from your Internet browser.
- Recognize the risks of clicking the ‘Remember Me’ checkbox when logging into a website.
- Do not click on suspicious links or websites. Only visit sites with a secure connection (HTTPS) to protect your data from being intercepted during transmission.
- Periodically monitor the recent device login history from your account settings.”

IMO, this fight is mainly hurting the users. We have workarounds in mind for those clients using WP Engine, but this is unhappy for those WP Engine users who do not.
