May 2023. Impact specializes in membership, subscription and loyalty card production & finishing programs. For this specific project, Impact printed and cut-to-size over 2 million cards used by a discount pharmaceutical company. This video shows how those 2 million cards are then processed through our equipment. 1) The cards are put in a stack on the feeder which then feeds the cards, one at a time, on to the conveyer belt. 2) As the cards pass under the 1st black box, an inkjet printer prints variable data (like a membership or subscription number) on each card. 3) As the cards pass under the 2nd black box the ink is cured by a special frequency UV light. 4) Each card passes under a camera which automatically grades the printed data for content & quality. 5) The cards are the collected and placed in displayer boxes with an identifier applied to the box. 6) These boxes are shipped to our client’s mailing house who ships them to medical facilities all around the country.

POSITION OPEN AT OUR MAYNARD, MN LOCATION

UV Printing Press Operator - Maynard, MN

Position Function:
This position will operate a 6-color UV press with coating capabilities at our Maynard, MN facility location. Perform manual and machine operator tasks related to set-up, operating and maintenance of the press.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Review the job ticket and verify any special instructions prior to setting up the job.
• Ensure that all the materials (ink, coatings, proofs samples and plates) are available for the job.
• Check plates before mounting including inspecting the blankets.
• Approve color matches to the color proof based on feedback.
• Maintains ink balance for color consistency.
• Pulls and marks samples clearly.
• Performs routine maintenance, testing and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Measures quality control issues (ink density, registration, etc.) during job run.
• Documents proper counts, forms, load information, ticket information.
• Keep work area neat, clean and organized.
• Other special projects or tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:
• Two to three years related experience and training (preferably printing on plastics); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Computer skills helpful.
• Attention to detail, well organized and a self-starter.
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast paced environment.
• Possesses a strong work ethic, and problem-solving skills.
• Must have a customer-first sensibility. Must be responsive and helpful and have a sense of urgency.

Physical Requirements:
• Able to move /lift 20 lbs. frequently and 10 lbs. constantly.
• Push/pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to be on feet continuously for 8-10 hour periods.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Shipping/Order Staging Clerk - Clara City, MN

Position Function:
This position is responsible for overseeing the business activities of the shipping area and order staging.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Monitors all outbound documentation and applies transportation charges to proper documents.
• Responsible for all shipping of freight using sources such as UPS, Fed Ex and other carriers.
• Responsible for researching the cost savings for all shipping rates.
• Monitors all outstanding outbound carrier shipments.
• Reviews and controls customer routing instructions and monitors their compliance.
• Determines proper transportation and monitors inbound return goods shipments.
• Maintains accurate Shipping reports.
• Responsible for being proficient in the computer specified programs for customers such as Target, Walmart, and others.
• Works closely with Customer Service in providing shipping and delivery information.
• Check in and document product from production floor.
• Process orders by earliest ship dates.
• Finished order to warehouse, paperwork to shipping office.
• Complete a daily ship log.
• Assist the production team as time allows.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
• Excellent interpersonal communications, orientation of detail and multi-tasking.
• Transportation skills or transportation work history required.
• Knowledge of Excel and Word is required.
• Basic reading and math skills required.
• Mobility and ability to bend, lift, push, pull, carry and perform repetitive motion in the performance of job duties is required.
