Strong Daughters β€” Happy Memorial Day. 🌿

Today we honor people who gave everything. And I want to pause for a moment and acknowledge something:

So do you.

Not the same. Not even close. But the daily sacrifice of a daughter who shows up β€” exhausted, sometimes resentful, often unseen β€” for her parent? That's a kind of devotion that deserves to be honored too.

Today, if you're spending the holiday managing medications instead of eating potato salad… if you're at a facility instead of a barbecue… if you're grieving the version of your parent who used to host the whole neighborhood β€”

I see you. We see you.

And if you DID get a slice of summer today β€” a laugh, a cold drink, a moment of peace β€” good. You're allowed that. Finding light in the heavy isn't a betrayal. It's survival. It's what Strong Daughters do.

This Week's Challenge: The POA Document Audit

I want you to spend 30 minutes this week doing one thing: finding and reviewing your parent's legal documents.

Step 1 β€” Find It
Locate the POA document. If you can't find it, that's your first action item β€” find out where it is, or whether one exists at all.

Step 2 β€” Read It
Yes, actually read it. Note the date it was signed, what type of POA it is, and when your authority activates.

Step 3 β€” Identify the Gap
Do you have both financial AND healthcare POA? Is it current? Is it on file with your parent's care team and financial institutions?

Step 4 β€” Take One Action
Based on what you find, identify one single next step. Schedule a call with an elder law attorney. Request an updated document. Drop a copy at your parent's doctor's office. Just one action.

Step 5 β€” Share It
Post on Instagram and tag . Tell us: What's one thing you learned or discovered doing this audit? You might be the reason another daughter finally does this too.

This Week's Mantra: "I don't have to have all the answers. I just have to know my role, ask for help, and keep showing up for her."

It happened. πŸ₯Ή

Our first Strong Daughters Circle was everything I hoped it would be β€” and more.

We laughed. We talked about the hard stuff. We talked about old times and new ones. And we had daughters drive all the way from Oregon to be in that room.

That tells me everything I need to know about why this community exists.
Strong doesn’t mean solo. And tonight, we proved it.

Thank you to everyone who came out!
