According to the City of Clarksville Government, a section of N. Spring Street will be closed on Thursday, August 14, from 7 a.m. to approximately 12 p.m. for natural gas line maintenance. The closure will impact the area between 616 and 681 N. Spring Street.

Traffic will be detoured to N. Riverside Drive and McClure Street while work is underway. Local businesses on N. Spring Street will remain accessible, but drivers are urged to proceed with caution near utility crews and equipment or consider alternate routes to avoid the work zone.

At approximately 7:25 p.m., the Clarksville Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at Mizu Japanese Cuisine, located at 1525 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim with a gunshot wound and began CPR until medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported to Tennova Healthcare, and his condition remains unknown.

Roughly ten minutes later, at 7:35 p.m., a second 911 call was received from a woman on Cabot Cove, reporting that an individual was en route to her residence with a gunshot wound. Officers responded to the location and found another male victim. CPR was initiated until emergency responders arrived. His condition is also unknown at this time.

Authorities have confirmed these are two separate, active investigations. No additional details have been released.

Anyone with information related to either incident is urged to call 911 immediately.

Memorial Drive at Rushton Lane

The Clarksville Police Department is on the scene of an injury crash on Memorial Drive near Rushton Lane. The collision occurred at approximately 2:04 p.m., and Memorial Extension is currently closed in both directions. FACT investigators are responding, and drivers are urged to use alternate routes until the roadway is reopened. The extent of the injuries is currently unknown.

On Monday afternoon, August 11, 2025, at around 2:30 p.m., Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of shots fired on Apple Valley Road in Clarksville. According to authorities, an adult male, whose identity has not yet been released, was shot by the homeowner of the residence.

Officials say the injured man left the scene but was later found and transported to a local hospital. Investigators confirm this was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public. The case remains under investigation.
