Your Google Business Listing may be working against you- and you might not even realize it.

When was the last time you actually updated it?

Not just checked that your phone number was correct, but added new photos, reviewed your services, published a post, updated your business information, or responded to reviews.

I’ve been talking with a lot of business owners lately, and many created their listing years ago and have barely touched it since.

But Google has changed- a lot.

With AI playing a bigger role in Google Search and Maps, your Google Business Listing is no longer just an online directory listing. It helps Google understand who you are, what you offer, where you serve, and when your business should appear in someone’s search results.

Which one sounds most like you?
A) I set it up and mostly left it alone
B) I update it when I remember
C) I review and update it regularly

No judgment- we’re genuinely curious how local business owners are managing theirs.
We’re hosting a free Google Business Listing training on Wednesday, September 9th, where we’ll walk through practical steps you can take to improve your listing and help your business show up more clearly in Google Search, Maps, and AI-powered results.

Here’s a quick visibility test most small business owners never think to do.

Don’t Google your business name.

Google what a potential customer would search if they didn’t know your business existed.

Try your most important service.

Try it with your town.

Try asking a full question like a customer would.

Then look at who shows up.

Because ranking for your own business name is great - but the real opportunity is being found by the people who don’t know your name yet.

So, when was the last time you actually tested it?

Vote in the poll - and if you're feeling brave, tell us what you found. 👀

When you hear the word “AI,” does your mind immediately go to something complicated, overly technical, or only useful for people in the tech world?

You’re definitely not alone.

But AI can actually be a practical everyday tool. It can help you plan, organize, write, brainstorm, simplify tasks, and save time when your to-do list feels never-ending.

That’s exactly what we’ll be covering during our FREE AI for Busy Adults webinar on Wednesday, September 2nd at 2 PM.

No technical background needed. We’ll break it down in a way that feels simple, useful, and realistic for everyday life.

When you hear “AI,” what’s the first thing that comes to mind?

Trying to keep all the plates spinning?

Work. Family. Appointments. Emails. Meal planning. Self-care. The thing you forgot you were supposed to remember.

It’s a lot.

And no, AI is not going to magically do everything for you.

But it can help you take some of the mental load off your plate.

Join us for our next FREE AI for Busy Adults webinar on Wednesday, September 2nd where we’ll walk through simple, practical ways to use AI to save time, organize your thoughts, plan faster, write more easily, and feel a little less buried by the everyday to-do list.

No tech background needed. No complicated jargon. Just real-life ways to make AI useful.

Because you don’t need one more thing to manage.

You need a tool that helps you manage the things already on your plate.

Contractors, your next customer may already be looking for proof that you can handle their project.

The question is: can they actually find it?

You can say you do great work all day long.

But a strong project portfolio lets you SHOW it.

And when it’s built strategically, it can do a whole lot more than hold a bunch of photos.

It can:

• Build credibility before the first conversation
• Highlight the services and specialties you want MORE of
• Help you stand out from contractors relying on stock images
• Add useful service and location content that supports SEO
• Help customers recognize, “Yep, they’ve done something like mine.”
• Give you content you can reuse across social media, Google, email and sales follow-up

You already did the hard part.

You completed the work.

Don’t let your best projects sit in your camera roll or disappear down a social media feed.

Put them somewhere they can keep working for your business.

Don’t just post your work. Build with it.

Ready to put your completed projects to work? Request a Portfolio Gallery Quote or schedule a discovery call to see what makes sense for your website.

Your website visitors usually aren’t there to admire your website.

They’re trying to figure something out.

➡ Can you help me?
➡ Is this for someone like me?
➡ What will it cost?
➡ How do I get started?
➡ Can I trust you?

The easier your website makes those answers to find, the easier you make it for someone to take the next step.
