Keywords, the short version πŸ”‘

Review performance every 2 to 4 weeks. Match types decide how close a search has to be before your ad shows. And broad match without a real negative keyword list means Google spends your money on searches you never wanted.

Nobody scrolls past a happy ending. They scroll past a service list.

🐾 Monday Tip: Post real recovery stories, not just clinic photos. That limping dog who's now back to full speed. The cat who wasn't eating and is now begging for treats again.

Those are the posts people stop and read, and they're what actually gets shared.

A photo of your waiting room tells people you exist. A recovery story tells people what you're capable of.

Try this instead:

πŸ• Before and after, if the client's okay sharing it
πŸ’¬ A few lines in the owner's own words
❀️ The moment things turned around

Real stories build more trust than any polished graphic ever will.

Google Ads basics every vet clinic needs 🐾

Approval takes 24 to 48 hours, live within an hour or two after. Every search is a real-time auction, position depends on bid, quality, and expected impact. And send people to a dedicated landing page, not your homepage. Small details, big difference.

How do you know if Google Ads is actually working? πŸ“Š

Forget clicks and impressions, those flatter the agency, not your clinic. What matters is cost per booked appointment. If your reporting stops at clicks, you're watching noise, not results.

09/23/2026

Should each service get its own Google Ads campaign? 🦷

Yes, and this is where clinics leave money on the table. Someone searching "dog teeth cleaning cost" doesn't want your homepage. They want a direct answer. Split services into their own campaigns and cost per lead usually drops.

Google Ads or SEO first? πŸ€”

Need clients now, Ads. Playing the long game, SEO.

The best clinics we work with do both, SEO fills the pipeline for free over years, Ads fill the gaps right now. You don't have to pick forever. Just pick where to start.

The best time to ask for a review isn't next week. It's before they've even left the parking lot.

🐾 Monday Tip: Text your clients a review link within an hour of their visit. That's it. The sooner you ask, the more likely they say yes, because right now they still remember exactly how relieved they felt when you helped their pet.

Wait a few days and that feeling fades. Wait a week and you're competing with everything else in their life for a spare two minutes.

Set it up once, use it every visit:
πŸ“± Automated text after checkout
⭐ Direct link, no extra steps
🐢 Ask while the "thank you" is still fresh

Small habit. Real difference in how many 5-stars you actually collect.

Two locations, one Google listing. That's costing you more than you think.

We audited a multi-location vet hospital last month and found both clinics sharing a single Google Business Profile. Google didn't know which location to show people.

Neither did clients. Calls were going to the wrong front desk, directions were pointing people to the wrong parking lot.

Running more than one location comes with its own local SEO rules, and most practices are missing at least a few.

Full checklist inside, from separate GBPs per location to why "vet in [city]" will always outperform generic service pages.

If you're managing multiple clinics, worth checking which of these you've actually got covered.

How fast will Google Ads actually work? ⏱️

Clicks and calls, within days. Real optimization, two to four weeks.

Google needs that time to learn which searches turn into real bookings.

Anyone promising instant miracles is selling you something.
Anyone asking for a month is telling you the truth.

09/17/2026

What should you actually budget for Google Ads? πŸ’°

A real starting range: $1,500 to $3,000 a month for single-location clinics. Specialty and emergency practices need more, those clicks cost more. But the real math is your lifetime client value.

Once you know that number, the budget conversation gets a lot easier.
