Anyone else love minimalism in photography? Something as simple as these corks randomly placed on a marble table gives me all the feels.

Which image do you prefer? Also, Is it weird that I constantly think about these walls at ?
Here's your photo tip of the day: When taking a photograph, try to tell the story of the dish and space.
Okay, Jordan, but how do we do that? All I have is a phone?
It's actually pretty simple and can TOTALLY be done with a phone. Play with the space and textures, like this wall. Take a shot a bit further away from the dish, and shoot some of the surrounding areas. Add a lifestyle element, like a hand pouring the wine, or reaching for that last oyster.
This type of storytelling and lifestyle element will make people feel what it's like to dine or hang there and will draw them into your story!

The before & after are pretty different, aren’t they?
Y'all, we cannot express this enough. Editing is HALF THE JOURNEY.
Ever wonder why professional photographers have the rates that they do? Because of this type of before/after. We spend time shooting, and then twice the amount of time on the back-end bringing the images from just good to DAYUM.
For this image, we used Lightroom to bring up the brightness, highlights and contrast, and pulled in some heavier shadowing and warmth.
So what do you think? Is it worth it?

Don't you kinda feel like you're right there shopping away with .ceo.andy? Honestly, these are my favorite type of portraits, shooting people in their comfort zone, and taking only a few shots so they aren't worn out by a lens staring at them!
We've been featuring the Farmers Market all week on to promote shopping local, especially in such difficult times. Wherever you are, make sure you're supporting small farmers and businesses by shopping at markets instead of large chains! Times are so uncertain, and this is a small way that we can support!

Do you have a favorite snack you discovered in your travels?
Fun Fact about Jordy: One of my favorite snacks is French Breakfast Radishes and Salted Butter, so when I see them at the farmers market, I grab about a dozen bunches and call it a day.

Do you know this Instagram tip?
When taking a photo for the gram, make sure it's a vertical orientation (like this one) instead of a horizontal orientation. That way, it takes up more screen time and people don't pass it by. It may seem silly, but it most certainly helps!

How do you feel about getting your picture taken? Are you cool like a cucumber or need some cheesy jokes as encouragement? Portraits are super fun to shoot because you learn so much about a person while you’re taking their photograph.
Devin of was the king of cool, and needed basically NO direction. I can’t wait to see and shoot he and his wife, Kyoko, again one day!
