HIRING FOR SHIPPING CLERK! IMMEDIATE NEED!!
Local TAMPA, FLORIDA manufacturing company is in need of an experience Shipping Associate. The Shipper verifies and keeps records on shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards:
--Process Outbound Shipments
--Assure all orders are checked for accuracy, packed so no damage occurs during transit, and shipped according to company’s on-time delivery standard
--Process waybills accurately according to shipping specifications
--Only process “Will Call” orders upon customer arrival for product pick-up
--Process orders properly in the ERP system. Generate reports as needed.
--Coordinate shipments with carriers and use their software effectively and correctly
--Act as liaison between export firms and the company to answer questions, prepare paperwork, process credits, contact freight forwarders, and fulfill related export/ import duties related to logistics
--Perform Clerical and Administrative Functions
--Match/prepare and route documents assuring complete and accurate documentation is provided to parties on a timely basis
--Assure sufficient shipping materials remain available and communicate with purchasing regarding material needs or problems
--Maintain department files and computer data
--Handle routine communication and correspondence
--Report and resolve matters relating to damages, losses, or delays
--Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of shipped goods
--Maintain a neat and organized work area
Other Functions:
--Help load/unload product leaving and entering the company
--Route incoming deliveries for receiving and inspection
--Assist in receiving and stocking material according to departmental procedures for inventory control
--Light assembly when required to prepare product for shipment.
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
--Minimum of a high school education (or equivalent) and one year of factory-related experience in shipping and receiving.
--Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
--Experience using an ERP system preferred.
--Strong commitment to customer service, quality improvement, and on-time delivery.
Pay depends on experience.
