This summer ☀️will mark 10 years for YHD ❤️10 years ago I walked away from a teaching job not knowing what the next chapter would look like. I was fortunate to be gifted 2 monogramming machines, and a vinyl cutter, so with that being said I started YHD❤️, now YHD operates with 2 commercial monogramming machines & and automatic .us press and couple employees The percentage of business that don’t make it after 5 years is over 50% and the percentage that do not make it to 10 years is over 65% 😳 the one thing as a small business that seems to get pushed to the side is bookkeeping 📚no matter how hard you try it just does, but if you don’t know your numbers & you never read your profit & loss statements - what’s the point of working so hard, so ☝️ of my goals for 2026 was pay more attention to P&L make sure my numbers were lining up, make sure we’re showing profit so wanted to give Nick at .profit print a big THANK YOU
2026 is off to a GREAT 🧨start. If you’re a small business owner just starting out the one thing I would highly recommended is hire someone to do your books or find a business coach b/c you did not start your business to go out of business. Owning small businesses is hard you can’t wear all the hats 🧢 so ask for help, I promise you will find someone who is willing to help you b/c at the end of the day other businesses owners had to start at the bottom to get to the DTG ScreenPrintBusiness
