🇺🇸 Throwback to Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Honored to work the Five for the Fallen ruck this year.
Events like this bring the true meaning of Memorial Day into focus — a day to pause, remember, and honor the heroes who gave everything for our freedoms.

Grateful to be part of it. ❤️🤍💙

What. A. Weekend. 🙌

The kept us moving long before the start and way after the finish!

🚚 Thursday & Friday: Loading U‑Hauls, organizing signs, and getting everything prepped for race weekend.

🚦 Saturday: A not‑too‑early call time — setting the course, leading as the pace car, and gearing up for Sunday.

🌅 Sunday: An early start — course setup, pace car duties, then pivoting wherever needed: delivering ice to aid stations 🧊, monitoring participants on the Shoreway, grabbing lunch orders, unloading U‑Hauls… you name it, we were on it.

It was a long one — but being part of such a big, iconic Cleveland race is always worth it. 💙🖤
Already excited for next year!

(the lead pace car that I drove was a fancy ride! Beautiful 2027 model 🔥 )

♻️ Trashy Peep #1 and Trashy Peep #2 for Cocodona 250!

I’m so grateful to have met Steve and to be part of this role for the 2026 race. This was only the second year for the Trashy Peeps Team, and I’m thankful I got to help build it.

It might seem like trash pickup, recycling sorting, and compost drop‑off are small tasks… but they matter a lot.

Races create a TON of waste, and when an event can reduce its footprint—even a little—it makes a real impact.

Proud to play a small part in keeping the Cocodona experience cleaner, greener, and more sustainable for everyone out there on the course. 🌱💪

Last day of Trashy Peeps duty called for packing up the LAST aid station for 🚚

I got to the aid station early and actually was able to see the last two runners leave the aid station before the cut off. 🙌🏼 talk about digging deep for the last few miles!

Took my load to Fort Tuthill for trash 🚮 drop off, recycling ♻️, and compost 🍌

Then drove the 🚚 back with Sean to HQ!

(No pics of the last drop off or the drive back to Phoenix)

Got to the airport with plenty of time to chill & get some food before flying home ✈️

Sometimes you put yourself out there and you can have the best week working an amazing race with an amazing company 🙌🏼

Can’t believe is over for 2026!

Thursday!!!!! 🏜️

🚚 Dead Horse ➡️ Welp, my truck was a hot mess because I am working on my ratchet strap skills 😵‍💫 but still had to get stuff in there

🍽️ was able to donate food to the food pantry after this load. Small part to reducing food waste & giving to others in need

Then to Sedona 🏜️

🚚 Sedona Posse Grounds ➡️ Got rid of all the trash I had. Was able to recycle ♻️ and met up with the compost lady 🙌🏼

🚚 Took my nearly empty truck to Sedona Ranger Station ➡️ thankful for some shade while I was taking food inventory, rearranging coolers + AS bins. It definitely got hot 🥵 out there today. But thankful to spend the day in Sedona and to be able to look around and see the red rocks!

Super tired, but thankful for this opportunity to be a part of the team to make dreams come true for the participants!

Wednesday recap

🚚 Watson Lake to clean up the aid station.

🚚 Then off to Whiskey Row for aid station clean up.

🚚 Last stop of the night was Jerome. It was beautiful to watch the 🌅 and the 🌌 come alive. (The 🪳 also made an appearance!)

❓ what’s my role at ? Trashy Peep #2
🚮 pick up the trash from the aid station ➡️ most of it gets thrown away, but some of it gets recycled and composted!
🍽️ organize the left over food ➡️ lots of it gets sent back to HQ, some of it tossed… and some of it gets donated to food pantries

While this role isn’t glamorous nor do I really get to see the athletes, I’m having fun, learning, and meeting great people!

I saw the GOAT 🐐
My week is complete 🙌🏼

Wasn’t sure if I was going to see any of the top runners, especially the females, because my role is Aid Station drop off and Aid Station clean up.

But… I was watching the live feed and saw … and realized she was going through Whiskey Row aid station, which was blocks from my hotel… so decided to stop eating dinner and get to that aid station.

So glad I did - because I got to see 🥹 it was awesome to see her just cruise by!!!

Feeling so thankful for this opportunity to be staff for 🤜🏼🤛🏼
