REAL TALK ⬇️

I've written my terms document at least ten times since going into businesses three years ago. The first six times I wrote it, they were written WRONG. 🚫

The fact is, you don't realize you won't get the results you want from your terms document until you try to enforce it. It happened to me many of times. It's embarrassing trying to ask for your worth, and a client responding with "No, I didn't agree to that. Exactly where does it say that?" 😳

You may mean one thing by saying something about an extra fee on your website, but do your terms clearly define that with an extra price tag as back up to charge for it? 💸💸💸

The next truth is that you're going to have to be strong in abiding by your terms and making your clients do the same. You can't back down!

Once you offer a little bit of flexibility, things start going out of control. 🤯

And this is why you NEED to clearly define everything in your terms, including each business process, and how working with you works.

Not only should your terms define it in that document, but your website should be setting those expectations as well.

A website not only shares your services, expertise, and helps clients get connected with you, but it sets the stage for how professional your business really is.

Once you prove your professionalism, your clients get a clear idea of what it means to work with you.

It's decision time: You can keep trying to make your business work and earn less than the income you deserve.

Be careful who you hire! Whether it’s a random designer you meet on a third party website, or if it’s someone who’s posing to say “I can do that!” it’s important to review what they’re offering and the quality of the outcome. Time and time again we see businesses who have bad project outcomes that lead to no marketing results. Don’t waste your money!
