Happy Birthday to us! 🥳🎂

I’ve always joked that Jen got tired of me in the womb and kicked me out. We were born two months early — I was head first and she was feet first, so clearly she was already trying to keep me in line. 👣😂

The funny thing is… after 54 years, not much has changed.

Life has taken us down different roads. We’ve lived through different seasons, raised our families, built our own lives, and sometimes gone weeks without seeing each other. But no matter how much time passes, she is still one of my favorite people in the world.

She has been my first friend, my lifelong witness, my sounding board, my cheerleader and sometimes the gentle voice reminding me who I am when I forget.

There is a comfort that comes from having someone who has been there since the very beginning. Someone who knows your stories, your strengths, your quirks, your heart… and loves you anyway. 💜

I don’t get to see her nearly as often as I’d like, which makes today feel even more special. We get to spend our birthday together and that is a gift I don’t take for granted.

Today we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave everything for our freedom.

Because of their sacrifice, we have the ability to live freely, love deeply, gather with family and pursue the work and dreams placed on our hearts.

My Embroidery Creations will be CLOSED June 12–22 while I take some much-needed time away with family. ✈️💜

This trip has been a year and a half in the making, and I honestly can’t express how grateful I am that this little business helped make it possible. Every order, every share, every recommendation, every kind word… it all adds up in ways bigger than embroidery.

I’ll do my best to respond to messages while away, but there may be limited — or even no — internet access at times, so replies could be delayed until we return home.

All current orders needed before June 12 will be completed before I leave.

If you currently have an order with me but have not given a due date — and need it before June 12 — please message me ASAP so I can make sure we get you taken care of before I head out.

Motherhood is such a strange & beautiful thing. 💜

You spend years raising these tiny humans… and then one day you look around and realize they’ve become these amazing individuals with lives, dreams, adventures & stories of their own.

And wow… what a privilege it is to watch.

Looking back through old photos this morning made me smile big. All the little moments, the trips, the laughs, the traditions, the chaos… the everyday things that somehow become the memories you treasure most.

Feeling extra thankful today for my family, for the memories we’ve made, and for all the days God gave along the way. ✨
