Somewhere across the ocean, tomorrow has already arrived. 💙

By the time we reach 6pm here in Georgia, it will officially be August 27th in Switzerland… which means my boy’s birthday has begun.

And goodness, this Mama heart. 🥹

Thirty-one years ago, I became Caleb’s mom. What an incredible privilege it has been to watch that little boy grow into the man he is today.

Caleb, I hope you know how deeply you are loved and how incredibly proud I am of you... not simply for the things you’ve accomplished, the places you’ve gone or the life you’ve built, but for who you are!

You are brilliant & curious, strong & tender, independent & deeply caring. You’ve never been afraid to ask big questions, dream big dreams & create a life that looks like yours.

And even after 31 years, there are moments when I would give just about anything to have that little boy back in my arms for five minutes.

Especially when Switzerland feels so far away. 💙

So as your birthday begins on your side of the world, my wish for this next trip around the sun is that you believe in yourself, trust what you know & give yourself grace. And remember that you don’t have to do, prove, accomplish or become anything to earn the love that surrounds you!!

Wherever life takes you, never forget there’s a Mama back home who will forever be your biggest cheerleader.

Happy 31st birthday, Caleb 🎉

I love you bigger than oceans, farther than Switzerland & more than these words could ever hold. 💙

A little Sunday photo dump. 💜

Not many pictures from this past week, but a whole lot happened behind the scenes. Lots of creations went out the door while life happened right alongside them... one of those incredibly productive weeks that somehow still felt like a lot.

Yesterday, Rodney and I traded the to-do list for a little Jeep adventure… exactly what we needed.

Today will hold a little play, a little preparing for another busy week, and a Mama heart already feeling the distance with Caleb’s birthday coming up and Switzerland being way too far away.

Some weeks hold a little bit of everything—the busy, the beautiful, the messy, the ache and the joy.

Maybe what matters most isn’t how much we have to show for it…

it’s who we get to share it with. 💜

Connection. 💜

I’ve been thinking about this word lately.

There’s something pretty magical that happens when we connect with one another. We get to share a little bit of who we are. We get to appreciate what someone else brings into the world. We get to encourage, celebrate, laugh, create… and simply remind each other that we’re not doing life alone.

Every day, I’m blessed to experience that through My Embroidery Creations. You share your lives, businesses, celebrations and ideas with me, and I get to create something that becomes a tiny part of them. What a gift that is.

And then I get to turn around and experience that same joy through other people in our community—the things they create, the dreams they’re building, the pieces of themselves they’re willing to share.

These pictures are just a few little examples. 🥰

But really, it’s bigger than small business.

Connection gives us a place to share love.

And maybe making the world a little better really does start that simply…

right here, with each other. 💜

Words really can’t express how grateful I am for every single order that came through my door this Back to School season. 🥹💜

It’s been a whirlwind of backpacks, uniforms, lunchboxes, shirts, lots and lots of thread… and some very busy embroidery machines. 😂

Good morning! 🩵

Just a little behind-the-scenes update…

The embroidery machines are staying busy with back-to-school orders, and I’m so thankful! 🥹🧵

This week is one of those where life and work get to dance together—a few appointments, some family moments, and lots of stitching in between. That’s one of the beautiful parts of running a home-based business.

Just know that I’m here, I’m creating, and I’m steadily working through orders every day.

If your order is for a specific event or date, please let me know! Having those dates helps me plan my production schedule and make sure your order is ready for the moments that matter most.

A little small-business vulnerability today… 🩵

I’ve learned something about myself that I’m working to do better with.

I work really well with deadlines. Give me a date, and my brain knows exactly what to do with it.

But “no hurry” and “whenever you get to it” are a little trickier for my ADHD brain. 🙃

Time passes 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 than I realize. What genuinely feels like a week or two in my head can suddenly be three or four when I look at the calendar.

And I want to be really clear:

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞.

Every person matters. Every order matters. Whether it’s one shirt or fifty, there is a person behind it who trusted me to create something for them.

And I never want someone’s kindness in saying “there’s no rush” to accidentally mean their order keeps getting pushed behind the ones with dates attached.

So I’m changing something. 🥳

I created a simple production system that gives every order a place to live 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝. 😂 It keeps track of the time for me and lets me know when an order has been waiting too long—even without a deadline.

𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫. 𝐈 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞.

Please keep sharing your deadlines—they truly help me plan! And if you tell me “no hurry,” I’m still incredibly grateful for that flexibility. I’m just making sure your kindness doesn’t accidentally work against you. 💜

Still learning. Still adjusting. Still finding better ways to care for the people who support my little business.

Running a small business is hard.

Some days I want to throw in the towel.
Some days are happy dances.
Some days are tears.
Some days are pure magic.

Behind every embroidered gift, team shirt, baby blanket or business logo is a person pouring their heart into creating something meaningful.
