If the Lord had not been on our side…
Sometimes you don’t fully recognize God’s protection until you look back.

You think about what could have happened.
What should have overwhelmed you.
What almost broke you.
The door that closed.
The situation you escaped.
The season you weren’t sure you would make it through.

And yet… you’re still here.

Psalm 124 reminds us that some of our greatest testimonies may simply begin with:

“If the Lord had not been on my side…”

The waters didn’t take you.
The snare broke.
You escaped.

Not because everything was easy, but because God was present in the middle of it.

And if you’re facing something difficult right now, remember this:

The same God who helped you then is still your help today.

Take a moment and thank Him for what He brought you through, including the things you may not have even realized He was protecting you from.

Never forget who kept you. 🙏🏽

Thought adulthood meant freedom… turns out it means consequences with receipts. 😂

The message that arrives at 7:42pm usually comes from someone who finally had a quiet minute to reach out. If it sits until 8:15 the next morning, you aren’t late by twelve hours. You’re late by the exact window where they were ready.

The picture most owners have in their head is a bot loose in their inbox, saying who knows what to a customer they’ve never met. That is not what this is.

It’s one response. Sent immediately. Written in advance, in your words, doing exactly one job: letting a person know they were seen and someone is coming. Every decision after that is still yours, made when you’re actually at your desk.

You don’t have to answer faster at night. You have to stop leaving that window empty.

Ten seconds, no sound needed.

Throwback Thursday. And apparently, past me had a message for 2026. 😂

Years ago, I recorded this video about something every business owner eventually has to do:

Reflect.
Refocus.
Restructure.

The tools have certainly changed since then. AI has changed what we’re able to do, how quickly we can do it, and in some cases, what’s even possible.

But here’s what hasn’t changed:

Sometimes the smartest thing you can do for your business isn’t add another tool, another strategy, or another thing to your already-full plate.

It’s to stop long enough to ask:

What’s working? What’s not? And what needs my attention now?

Because AI can help you move faster.

But first, you still have to know where you’re going.

So if business feels a little noisy right now, especially with everything coming at us around AI, give yourself permission to regroup.

You don’t have to have every answer.
You don’t have to master every new AI capability.
And you definitely don’t have to chase everything.

Reflect. Refocus. Restructure.

Then take the next right step.

You’ve got this. 💚

Maybe you’ve prayed about it.

But then you picked it right back up.

You’re still thinking about every possible outcome. Still trying to figure out what happens next. Still replaying the situation in your mind. Still carrying a battle you’ve already asked God to handle.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14

Sometimes being still is one of the hardest acts of faith because it requires us to release the illusion that worrying more will somehow give us more control.

Being still doesn’t mean doing nothing.

It means doing what God has placed in front of you without trying to do His part too.

If you’ve been exhausted from trying to fix, force, predict, or control something that is beyond you, maybe this is your reminder today:

Put it back in God’s hands.

You don’t have to know how He is going to work it out in order to trust that He is working.

The battle does not have to consume you.

Be still. Trust Him. God is already at work. 🙏🏽

Growth gets a lot harder when the business can only move as fast as one person can.

And sometimes the answer is not another app, another hire, or another productivity hack.

It is figuring out where the business has become too dependent on you.

That is what this video gets into.

A different way to think about where AI can actually create breathing room.

08/24/2026

AI isn’t the strategy.

Two business owners can buy the same AI tool on Monday and get completely different results by Friday.

Not because one is smarter.

Because one knows what they’re actually trying to fix.

A lot of business owners start with the most visible thing.

Content.

And I understand why. Content feels productive. You can see it being created.

But the things costing you the most time are often much quieter.

The follow-up you keep meaning to send.

The intake process that somehow turns into four emails.

The proposal you rebuild from scratch every single time.

Those problems don’t scream for attention.

They just quietly keep taking your time.

And that’s where AI can fool you.

AI pointed at the wrong thing doesn’t necessarily fail.

It can make you faster at something that was never the real problem.

So before you buy another tool, spend an hour asking yourself:

What do I repeat every week?

What do I quietly dread doing?

What, if it disappeared tomorrow, would give me the most time or mental space back?

Start there.

Because the strategy isn’t having more AI.

It’s knowing where to aim it.

What problem in your business would you remove first?

Proverbs 3:5-6 | Trust God Even When You Don’t Understand

There are seasons when the next step is clear, and others when nothing seems to make sense.

That’s when trust becomes more than a word. It becomes a choice.

If you’re facing uncertainty, waiting for direction, or trying to figure out what comes next, I hope this short message reminds you that you do not have to see the entire path to keep moving forward in faith.

Trust God with what you cannot yet understand. He sees what you cannot. 🙏🏽

Apparently, one version of me wasn’t enough. 😂

I’ve been experimenting with ways to make my content more recognizable without making every post look exactly the same.

So I created a caricature version of myself in several poses. Not just as a fun visual, but as another piece of my brand system.

Arms-crossed me shows up when I’m challenging an AI myth.

Pointing me shows up when I’m about to ask you a question you won’t love.

Looking-back me shows up when I’m telling you what I’d do differently.

These are going into the Clear & Concise look. I’m just deciding how far I take it.

So the next time one of these shows up in your feed, you’ll know what kind of post you’re in for before you read the first line.

A lot of businesses can tell you which AI tools they’re paying for.

Far fewer can tell you which ones have actually earned their place.

That distinction matters.

Because it’s easy to collect tools, test features, and feel like progress is happening.

But at some point, the question has to get tougher.

Are these tools actually creating value in the business?

I’ve been pressure-testing that question in my own work, and it changed the standard I use for deciding whether AI is actually helping.

I share one example in this video.

If you already have a few AI subscriptions on the credit card, here’s a question worth sitting with:

Could you clearly explain what each one has changed for your business?
