This week Meta very quietly updated their commercial terms that now allows the company to scrape any external website that’s linked to a Meta business account to “train” its AI.

What this means for you is that if you have your website linked to your social media, which I highly suggest you do so people can find you, they can now scrape your website and use it to train their AI. I’m not in love with this by any means, but I would not delete any of your socials nor would I remove your websites from your social pages.

Something you can do, is add rules to your website that block automated web crawlers. It’s not a guarantee, but this could be a possible way to prevent this from happening. There has been extreme push back on this and it is possible regulators could force Meta to add an opt-out option for users.

What are your thoughts on this?

You are enough.

It took a long time for me to realize that. I tried too hard when I was younger to "fit in." And in so many ways, that is why Pink Sheep was born. I didn't fit in, and that made me feel like there was something wrong with me. Turns out I am exactly who I am supposed to be. Pink, loud, and unapologetic for it.

And I love every time I can help someone see that they are enough, that they belong. That the thing that makes them different is truly what makes them amazing. On this World Mental Health Day, I want to remember not only this quote from Maya Angelou, but also "those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."

You matter. 💖🐑

All kidding aside. AI is a great tool, but nothing can replace a human touch. And we’ve seen more and more than AI isn’t always correct in its output. If you do use AI, be sure to check your prompts and don’t just copy and paste your output without reading it first. 💖🐑
