A letter to Facebook, please share!
Facebook, I do not know you anymore... I'm putting my Facebook for Business page in hibernation, and I have a kind message for you!
Please let me know when you decide to be yourself. Please let me know when you stop trying to be like everyone else. I remember when I could sit down at my computer each night and catch up on my newsfeed. The feed was chronological, people simply posted to their page, and I saw what they posted. AKA Classic Facebook.
You were not trying to be someone else or simulate another platform to get our attention. You had not integrated the newest features from other platforms like Snapchat Stories, TikTok's Reels, or a Watch feed to enter the video-sharing market.
You are the place I originally went to connect with my childhood friends. A place where I could stop in, say hi, and see my friends online for a minute. You did not try to be my everything, and I came to you to market other small businesses. I have made a career out of this for 9+ years. I'm a quick adopter of new features, and I'm always jumping through the new creative hoops for my clients. My small businesses love and trust me. It's good for your business!
Facebook, without quality support and guidance during all your changes and all your growing pains, you have made this girl tired and a bit angry. May we please have for , , and .
Tonight, I look forward to kicking up my feet and watching some old school television. I have silenced your notifications because they have become too demanding.
P.S. Facebook, are you entering the home shopping and e-commerce market?
