A beloved, longtime staple of the Colorado Springs food scene is getting a second location. 🍦

BJ’s Velvet Freez, a soft-serve ice cream joint with roots that go back to the age of sock hops and drive-in movies, will open a second locale in March.

A major national grocer, known for its deep discount prices, just set its sights on Colorado.

Aldi announced it’s expanding to the Centennial State with about 50 stores within two years, according to a company press release on Monday. The stores will be in the Denver and Colorado Springs markets.
