I found this gem at my local Arc thrift store. It was shoved in the corner with the tray sticking out. Upon further inspection the tray was jammed. They were asking $6 so I took the chance. I got it home, gave it a deep cleaning then discovered there was a CD jammed in there. Works perfectly now. 🥰

My haul this weekend at a local thrift store!

The Sansui 3900z needs a new power cable and a really good cleaning inside and out.

The Realistic SCT-100 was super clean and worked extremely well!

Overall a successful haul for my future vintage system.

A lot of times I have those moments when watching movies where I drool 🤤 over the sound system featured in the film. American Psycho is one of those films. I was able to find the details on his system:

HK 725 preamp
HK 770 amplifier 
HK EQ7 equalizer
HK 440xm cassette deck
Pioneer PD-4300 CD Player

and the speakers are KEF 104/2 Rosewood floorstanders.

It would be fun to put this together someday and listen to some Huey Lewis or some Phil Collins.

During this terrible invasion of Ukraine, I have not released any statements or opinions about the war because I do NOT want to politicize or alienate my audience.

I want to say this, I stand firmly with the people of Ukraine and hope this conflict can be resolved peacefully. I have gained much respect for because he has set a prime example of what a nation's leader should do during times like these, which is standing and fighting front lines with its people, something I can't see many other President's doing.

For Russia, there are so many Russian citizens protesting, knowing full well what the consequences could potentially be. I admire the Russian people's tenacity and stand with those who oppose this senseless war started by a bloodthirsty despot.

No matter what, good people are losing their lives on both sides because of the irresponsible and unforgivable actions of one man. We can't hold an entire people accountable for that.

Lastly, I want to say God help them all during these times, and you have the world's support for a quick resolution.
