Bold steps that helped us grow!

Part 3: Building Something Bigger (2000–2008)

When Doug joined Trevett's full-time, the business was ready for its next chapter.

A 5,000-square-foot building soon doubled... then grew AGAIN taking the building to 14,200 sq. ft. by 2005.... and with Nathan joining the team, new printing capabilities expanded what Trevett's could offer.

By 2008, those years of steady growth led to the biggest milestone yet: moving into the 24,000-square-foot facility we still call home.

We were proud to provide print and event materials for the 3rd Annual South Carolina Nuclear Summit, held September 29 at Colonial Life Arena!

Our team produced name tags, banners, podium signage, notepads, pin cards, table signage, event signage (and more!) to help carry the summit’s branding throughout the venue.

With more than 600 state and federal leaders, executives, and policymakers attending, this was one event with plenty of details to get right.

Not every message needs to be printed, but the ones that matter most deserve more than a passing glance.

Here's our suggestion: think about the things your audience actually needs to remember. The event they need to attend, the deadline they can’t miss, the campaign you’ve been planning for months, the cause you’re asking them to support, etc.

Those are the moments when adding something tangible to the mix can make all the difference!

Hot take: print doesn’t have to compete with digital. It can give your most important messages another chance to be seen.

So, before you decide what gets printed, ask yourself:

What can’t afford to be overlooked?

That’s where print becomes essential.

Some businesses outgrow their office... we outgrew our house!

Part 2: Growing Pains (1987–1995)

After moving to South Carolina, Trevett's continued to grow. First from a tiny office carved out of an orange-carpeted bedroom, then into a home addition, and eventually a converted backyard workshop.

It truly was a family business - even back in the 80s! Doug and Lynne handled customers and operations while the three kids stuffed envelopes, applied labels, and pitched in wherever they were needed.

By 1995, a new shop stood where an old horse barn once had. But when neighbors started asking about the steady stream of 18-wheelers, it became clear: Trevett's had outgrown the neighborhood.

Next month: New building, new chapters, and a new future for Trevett's.
