๐Œ๐ž๐ž๐ญ ๐“๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ง ๐๐ž๐ฐ๐ค๐ข๐ซ๐ค โ€“ As one of MFAโ€™s 2026 Ag Experience interns, Tristan works with MFA product managers and feed mill operators. His summer project is researching how each of the seven main MFA feed mills function, and he hopes to find a solution to preventing cross-contamination in medicated/non-medicated feeds at these facilities.

A senior at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Tristan is working toward his degree in animal health and agricultural business.

Tristanโ€™s advice to future MFA interns is, โ€œTake any and every opportunity you can to learn more.โ€

๐Œ๐…๐€ ๐€๐†๐‘๐Ž๐๐Ž๐Œ๐˜ ๐‘๐„๐’๐„๐€๐‘๐‚๐‡ โ€“ With the growing trend of planting soybeans earlier in the season, MFA agronomists are evaluating what this practice really means in the field. At our east Columbia research site, our mid-March soybean plots got off to a slow start, making them ideal for testing seed treatments and understanding risk factors like SDS and nematodes. Weโ€™ll be monitoring these plots throughout the season and sharing insights with our entire MFA team so they can, in turn, help growers better manage early-planted beans.

Gentrie Davis of Marshall, Mo. is one of MFAโ€™s 2026 Ag Experience interns. Gentrie works with Missouri Farmers Care as its outreach specialist. She spends most of her time running social media, communicating with farmers and facilitating workshops at Missouri FFA camp, located at Camp Rising Sun in Kaiser, MO.

A student at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Gentrie is working toward her degree in agricultural education, communications and leadership.

Gentrieโ€™s advice to future MFA interns is, โ€œBe open minded and very flexible in this position. Diversify your knowledge and find ways that you can bring what youโ€™re learning from others back home to your community.โ€
