🛑✋🏻 STOP BOOSTING YOUR POSTS ✋🏻🛑
Every time you post something on your page, Facebook tried to trick you into boosting it…We all have been there BUT…
Never boost a post Think of it as the leftover ad space that Facebook couldn't easily sell… like 3 am infomercials! 📺
I was talking to a friend a few days back about Facebook advertising and I realized there are lots of people that still boost their posts instead of using ads manager and well...if you’re one of them you’re wasting a lot of money!
Although you can target your audience and use your pixel in a boosted post, ads manager has so much more to offer.
Here are some of them 👇🏻
1️⃣ DO MORE WITH YOUR MONEY💰
When you boost a post and you choose for example $20 daily, all that $20 will go to that one post.
But if you create a campaign using ads manager, you can have multiple ads aka posts within that campaign and if you spend the same $20, facebook will spread this amount between all those posts.
After a few days when enough data is gathered, some of the posts will be doing much better than the other ones, so Facebook will automatically spend more money on those successful posts.
This method is called campaign budget
2️⃣ TEST YOUR MATERIAL 🧪
Another reason to choose this method is that each campaign is made of different ad sets and each ad set is made of different ads.
You can choose different targeting for different ad sets and show each ad set in different places.
Each ad is like a post, so you can have different media or text for each of them.
Why this is important to know?
Because you can test so many different kinds of posts, audiences, placements and see which one is converting best for your business.
You will just create different ads and facebook will automatically put more money into the ones that are converting better.
3️⃣ SOCIAL PROOF 🗣
Another reason that you should be using ads manager is that you can use your best converting ad in different campaigns with different objectives.
Imagine that you see a very good deal on Facebook, but there’s no social proof for that offer and you don’t know whether someone else has used it before and whether it’s a scam or not.
But if you see 100 comments and thousands of likes you’d probably trust it a little bit more.
The same thing happens with your ads as well.
If you use ads manager you can grab post ID of the ad that is performing best in your engagement or video view campaign and use it in a conversion campaign, all the engagement on the post will be shown on the new ad. You can also use the organic engagement on that post for more social proof.
There are hundreds of other reasons why you shouldn’t boost your post but I guess these reasons should be enough to stop you.
🚀If you have any questions I would be more than happy to explain more.
