Ever wonder where your cotton T-shirts come from? Well the same place you get your corn from, the ground. Missouri produced 442,080,000 lbs. of cotton last year (2018) according to the USDA. The average T-shirt has about 2 sq yds of fabric and at 4.2oz per yard that comes to 1,648,114,285 T-shirts out of missouri! That is a lot of T-Shirts, if we used all that cotton to just make T-shirts. So, buy more T-shirts and support your local farmer and T-shirt shop! (pictures taken by Chris Marks around Kewanee, MO)
