After a peaceful morning at the National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, I continued just 20 minutes north to Destination Gettysburg.

Beyond its rich Civil War history, Gettysburg is a destination worth exploring for its impressive monuments, scenic landscapes, and charming downtown filled with local shops and historic restaurants. I enjoyed my favorite French dip sandwich at the Farnsworth House Inn, located next to several ice cream shops.

Whether you're visiting for the history, the architecture, or simply a weekend road trip, Gettysburg makes an easy and memorable stop.

I’ve traveled across continents in search of wellness in recent months, from spas in Guatemala to the therapeutic rhythm of surfing in El Salvador. But today was a reminder that some of the best experiences have been in my own backyard.

After over a decade of living in Howard County, I finally rented a kayak at Centennial Park, and I can’t believe it took me this long.

🍸🦪 Sip & Shuck Thursdays are happening tonight at The Collective Offshore! Come check out the brand-new raw bar and seafood tower offerings. I had the pleasure of getting a sneak peek (and photographing these beauties), and they are not to be missed.

Then head over to The Collective Encore for a live performance from Nashville’s own Jimmy Charles 🎶. Great food, craft cocktails, and live music make this a night well worth the trip to Columbia! 🍸🎤
