Got to share the stage with the Father of Our Country this morning for a fun news conference with America 250-Ohio for the Columbus Air Show

The Columbus Air Show was joined this morning by the Father of Our Country as we participated in the America 250-Ohio (Columbus) news conference at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. General Washington will be on hand at this year's Columbus Air Show along with some other notable leaders from our nation's past to meet with guests and help us celebrate our 250th birthday.

In other news, we announced at this news conference that the U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team has confirmed that they will be performing at this year's Columbus Air Show. Learn more and buy discounted tickets for a limited time at www.ColumbusAirShow.com.

Come out and support the annual Golden Bear Shred Day Food & Clothing Drive tomorrow, April 6, from 10 AM - 1 PM at Jones Middle School.

Similar to past years when this event was held at the UAHS, you will drive up and give your documents to shred, non-parishables food items for the Heart to Heart Food Pantry, or gently used clothing to one of our volunteers.

Herb Gillen Airshows received three awards for their marketing work from the ICAS - International Council of Air Shows at last month's convention in Las Vegas. Herb Gillen Airshows has received an unprecedented 43 ICAS awards in nearly 20 years of air show involvement. Congratulations to the Columbus Air Show, California Capital Airshow, and Wings Over Batavia for your 2023 honors!

We wrapped up a very successful ICAS - International Council of Air Shows Convention in Las Vegas today. Herb Gillen Airshows was a part of eight awards presented at the ICAS Innovation Awards Luncheon. Our work and our shows received the following honors:

- Platinum Pinnacle Award for Marketing of the Thunder Over New Hampshire Air Show

- Platinum Pinnacle Award Oregon International Air Show for their All-Women Air Show

- Marketing 1st Place for Web Design for the Fort Wayne Air Show

- Marketing 1st Place for Web Design for the Moses Lake Air Show

- Marketing 1st Place for Social Media for the Moses Lake Air Show

- Marketing 2nd Place for Overall Marketing for the Thunder Over New Hampshire Air Show

- Marketing 2nd Place for Web Design for the Thunder & Lightning Over Arizona Air Show

- Marketing 2nd Place for Social Media for the Holloman Air Show
