Stillwater County Swap & Shop coordinates and hosts three events per year. Events occur in Spring, November and December at the Civic Center in Columbus, Montana.

Drumroll please……. The big surprise is:

I have seen a fair amount of places in my life. A lot of Montana and the surrounding states. Lived in Seattle for a couple years. Canada. Mexico. Disneyland. Legoland. I’ve got to take my kids on some neat adventures. They’ve both been on airplanes and trains. But this might trump them all!

This will be a first for all of us. We will be seeing the sun RISE on the ocean! Dip our toes in the Atlantic! I put an application in for a breast cancer retreat for my family, and we were selected! It took some finagling with appointments and such, but we are going!! I can hear my mom…. Never tell people that you are going to be gone on Facebook 🤣🤣 so I’m not telling you when or how long. And I’ll also tell you we have made arrangements so that our house is occupied 🤷🏼‍♀️😊. That is kind of a must when you have this many animals 🤦🏼‍♀️ but none the less, we are excited!

Do we have the time, money or energy to travel across the country? Not really. But who does??!? None of us are guaranteed tomorrow. Some days I feel like I got dealt a s**t hand in life. Or maybe it’s more like I had decent cards, but got cheated out of a few along the way. So I’m going to hang on to the cards I have left and enjoy every second!

I am excited for some networking with other breast cancer fighters to see if I can get some ideas for my lymphedema arm. I’m excited for my kiddos and Martin to be able to visit with kids and spouses going through similar situations; to be able to talk to someone other than me about their emotions and concerns. And, I’m super excited to feel like I can do something exciting and adventurous for my family (almost) all by myself! That is, with the help of an entire organization and supporters and a town full of people willing to volunteer their time, properties, services, etc 🤣🤣🤣

So be prepared for some photo dumps of our adventures 🥰

Sorry for the radio silence. It’s been a long, long, long year. Not going to go into depth on the matters, but I wanted to say, we are starting to do a little work! We are getting our new shop set up and turning out a few banners. We are also set up to do some vehicle graphics!

Atomic

As we moved the last boxes out of the shop, it was bittersweet. I may have cried some, remembering all the good and bad days. We spent just over 4 years in the Clough Ave shop, and literally put blood, sweat and tears into cleaning up and remodeling. Thanks to Ron & Gina, we were able to grow what we could offer, and start our own Montana Tough line. But after the year we’ve had, it’s time to go back to garage and be by appointment only. I was once told I needed to pick between my business and my family - we I guaran-darn-tee you that it will be family every time! Life is too short and this kiddos of mine are only little once. So by appointment and a few sweet hours a week is what we can do right now. We will continue to offer everything that we did before; signs, vehicle graphics, banners, shirts, business cards, promotional products and so much more….! We have been serving Columbus for 18 years!!! 🥰

The new tenants will be moving in soon, and I hope the building is as good for them as it was for us!! At our town garage, please don’t come knock…. As we have our nephew staying upstairs who works the mine, so his schedule is funky. We will have access through the gate into the side door, and we will put out a sign when we are there!! We will been getting our phone number switched over, so you will be able to contact us at 406-322-5551 and 406-239-7446. Email is [email protected] still. And of course you can message us here!

If you don’t hear from me right away, please be patient and don’t try another source. It gets confusing! I have at least 7 more weeks of chemotherapy, and I am exhausted. I do nap some, so I turn my phone off or silent when I am asleep.

I want to thank Columbus and the surrounding community for supporting us and we hope to see you soon!! (As long as you are healthy anyways! 🤣). We truly do love you!!! 💚💚 sorry mom -you didn’t make the pictures, even though you spend the most time with me! Lava you mom!!
