Hey fellow authors/publishers:
I've been receiving loads of unsolicited emails over the past few weeks from people saying they admire my work and want to help me market my books. Often, they don't mention my books by name. Sometimes they tell me they're with a book club that has thousands of active members, and the way I wrote my unnamed book was just so beautiful. They say they want to partner with me. blah, blah, blah. I am at the point where I believe 95.99542% of these emails are SCAMS/ATTEMPTS TO GET MONEY FROM ME/YOU WITHOUT MUCH, IF ANY BENEFIT TO ME/YOU.

I've heard we have been increasingly targeted like this lately.

Be careful out there. There are tried and true ways to market your books. Some of these ways don't cost you much, if anything. Yes, you can hire a book marketer, and that's fine. I just caution working with these random email senders.
