Wednesday was so SPECIAL! We’re so proud of all our interns and our junior interns for all their hard work this summer and it was amazing getting to celebrate them with their families in attendance. It’s bittersweet to see them leave but we know we’ll hear from them again with their names attached to some incredible work in the future. Thank you to COED for allowing us to use their space for the event, thank you to our junior interns for monitoring our panel, thank you to the friends and loved ones that trusted us with their babies this summer, and of course thank you to our interns for allowing us to play a role in your journey of life. Two weeks ago, I had the incredible opportunity to speak and assist at a Youth CoLab NDC workshop and let me tell you, it was one of those this is why I do what I do’ moments.

Youth CoLab is more than just a program. It’s a nationally recognized, paid internship experience where high school students are challenged to step into their creative power, build real-world portfolios and resumes, and start bringing their big, bold ideas to life. For six weeks each summer, they tackle real-world design challenges from actual clients, utilizing their voices and creativity to reimagine the built environment right here in Columbus. These aren’t your average “summer interns” these are future change-makers in action.

At Sky Nile Consulting, we’re deeply committed to equipping the next generation of leaders, creatives, and problem-solvers with the tools they need to thrive. This workshop was a reminder that consulting isn’t just about strategy it’s about creating access, building trust, and helping people believe in what’s possible for themselves.

To the Youth CoLab team: thank you for creating such an intentional space. And to the students: you’re the reason we keep showing up. You’re not “future leaders.” You’re leading right now.
