I can’t stop thinking about this color combination, and it felt like the perfect piece of print magic to kick off our summer season. 🌿🌤️ Something about the mix of soft blue-grey and earthy green tones feels so refined and deeply romantic coming off our antique press.

I always love seeing how all the individual pieces come together once they’re laid out side by side in the studio. The colors, textures, paper choices, and finishing touches all start telling the love story together.
And while I love every piece in this suite, I have a total soft spot for the wax seal and envelope liner combo.

In a world of ai and instant gratification, we still believe in the beauty of handmade slow art. 👩🏻‍🎨 Welcome to Part 2 of our custom venue illustration.

For our bespoke clients, the invitation suite is the first heirloom of their marriage. That’s why we approach these illustrations as fine art, weaving history and whimsy into a single sketch. There is an intentionality in a hand-drawn line that ai software just can’t duplicate. It requires patience, a human eye for architectural detail, and a deep respect for the craft.

Every window pane and botanical accent has been meticulously drawn to ensure it not only prints well, but feels truly timeless. This piece just needs a little romantic landscaping it will be ready for its next transformation.

If you’ve ever stepped into our studio, you’ve heard the jingle of the bell on our door, a nod to The Shop Around the Corner that I put up before the presses even moved inside. 🔔🏠👩🏻‍🎨 I’ve been entirely obsessed with You’ve Got Mail since seeing it in theaters in the 90s. 📗🌼🌳📬
Over a decade ago, at Market Days in uptown Columbus, I had my ultimate rom-com meet-cute with Rebecca Holman. She stopped by my booth, we instantly clicked, and she became one of my absolute biggest cheerleaders, a trusted calligrapher I’ve worked with forever, and my ultimate YGM meme-sharing partner.
So, when she and her fiancé moved to NYC, got a golden retriever named Fallon (who looks exactly like Brinkley), took Central Park engagement photos, and asked me to design her custom wedding suite... I might as well have been designing for Kathleen Kelly and Joe Fox themselves. I was giddy for two straight weeks! 🕊️📗🌼🌆
Creating for a fellow creator means going “full ham.” We designed eight custom illustrations, layered in nostalgic patterns, a trifold details card, and even pivoted our envelope sizes just to make sure her dream envelope liner won.📬
Becca, now that you’ve married the love of your life, and I want to wish you both a lifetime of cozy coffee shops, daisy bouquets, handwritten notes, and butterflies. “For as long as we both shall live.” 💌🫶🏻
