Last Saturday the Beta chapter held its annual parents weekend fulfilled with an exciting day of events. After the matchup between Ohio State and Illinois, parents, friends, and family gathered on the patio to enjoy a hog roast and a live band featuring the Rylee Bapst Band!

The afternoon was a hit filled with great food, music, friends, and memories. A a special thank you goes to the men that helped put this event together, the Rylee Bapst Band, and most importantly our parents for gifting us the privilege of being a part of a special community.

This week, the men of AGR’s Beta Chapter welcomed Director Brian Baldridge of the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) to the house for dinner.

Director Baldridge spent time talking to us about his role in agriculture, as well as what the current landscape looks like across the world. Our members had the chance to ask questions about current issues, including the importance of supporting Ohio agriculture through programs like Ohio Proud and choosing locally grown and produced food.

Thank you, Director Baldridge, for taking the time to join us and share your knowledge and experience with the men of AGR!

Brother of the Week🟢🟡‼️

This week’s Brother of the Week is Brant Metz! Brant is a senior Animal Bioscience major from Botkins, Ohio and was also the chapters previous VNR Scholarship chair while currently holding the VNR Planning chair! Brant’s favorite AGR memory is getting sendy on the patio with the Beta Boys. A fun fact about Brant is that he beats Joey Bruns everytime they have the played in the CYO! Congrats, Brant!

Last weekend, a couple members of our Exec team went down to Louisville, Kentucky for AGR’s national convention. In Louisville, they learned many valuable tools to implement into our chapter and use for years to come.

In addition, the chapter took home some hardware, one being the Sleeter Bull Most Improved Chapter Award! An award that goes to show the steps men graduated, still active, and future members will continue to uphold for many years to come!

Congratulations to the men of AGR and the successful years they’ve had at the Beta Chapter!

Alpha Gamma Rho is the premier agricultural fraternity at The Ohio State University. While continuing its rich history over that past century of Making Better Men professionally, in the classroom, and through social development, every brother who has gone through membership would agree that AGR was the right choice from the start. Who’s got it better than us?

Interested in joining or would like to learn more about our chapter? Please feel free to reach out to our VNR Recruitment Chair Andrew Flax
