A bit of history. We moved the shop a couple years ago. Started cleaning out more than 20 years worth of "stuff ". With the 50 year anniversary of Trek, here's a few peices of history. To some degree, we worked like Project One, before there was P1. Many of the iconic bikes from back in day were all VCG stickers. Always a rush. Trek would send creative, we print/cut execute, and send it back to be installed. Every frame was then clear coated and sent off to be raced. Crazy times, but very cool and satisfying.

So we just had to run a fresh set of graphics from a 15 year old file.

It had been few years since we last spoke, but I miss him already. Always treated us right and never asked for anything. Always showed up with a smile, even every year when we had to work on this sh*tty trailer. We had a lot of good times and could always vent to each other. Almost like therapy. Team mechanics are special to VCG. They are in the trenches and are the lifeline to the teams. A good part of our business is built from relationships with mechanics. Matt was one of the best. And not just turning wrenches. Best human.
I share some of the many stickers we made over the years. Goes back almost 20 years. The Operaman ones made me laugh. I only share the trailer photos because I know he would laugh. The things he and I went through every new season with that hunk of junk. Makes me cry a little. Especially knowing I ride alone most of the time and people depend in me to come home. Remember to give a hug even if a sh*tty day.
