So, the million dollar question that I get asked most is... "How on earth did you create the name Fire Ant?"
Well, Fire Ant has a very unique meaning if I do say so myself. Becoming a business owner, you want to be unique, you want to be different, and you want to stand out. The ANT stands for myself, Ashley Nicole Thomas and my one and only daughter A’talia Nicole's name. Some call it coincidence
, but I'd like to think it was divinely appointed. But whatever floats-your-boat is what we can roll with. Now for the juicy part...Where did fire come into play? I mean for my initials it works great, but I needed something that would desire my drive, my work ethic, and my passion behind my marketing company. I needed something more fierce and meaningful. And that's when I received a text with the scripture from Proverbs 6:6 which reads, “Go to the ant thou sluggard; consider HER ways and be wise.” It was at that moment that I knew FIRE ANT was going to be the name of my business. What more confirmation did I need from God? That was it! You see, after doing reasearch, I found out that the fire ant workers are all females. The males die shortly after mating. Fire ants are really fascinating creatures, they are more than just a painful bite. They are extremely small and can carry 100 times their body weight. They work every day, storing food for the queen. I knew that my business would not just use the fire ant as a mascot, but we would embrace its principles and make it the very core of our marketing firm. For we are....FIRE ANT!
