Your business doesn’t appear to be struggling.
But your website might be.
And most business owners don’t realize it until it costs them.

We’ve worked with organizations doing great work, but their websites were telling a completely different story.

Outdated structure.
Unclear messaging.
No real direction for the visitor.
The result?People visit… and leave.

Not because the service isn’t valuable, but because the website doesn’t communicate it clearly.
A strong website should:
• Guide people
• Build trust quickly
• Make the next step obvious

If it doesn’t, it becomes a silent blocker to growth. This is something we’ve seen repeatedly across service-based businesses and ministries that are ready to grow, but their digital presence hasn’t caught up.

Have you ever looked at your website from a visitor’s perspective?

In the early stage of an organization, many leaders build websites just to get online. When that organization starts to grow, expectations change, competition increases and credibility begins to matter a whole lot more.

When you are growing, things have to shift to accommodate where you’re going. You will need different systems than the ones you started with. When your organization grows, it will outgrow its digital presence, and when that happens, you need to shift to a strategic rebuild that will support and sustain the growth.

Memorial Day is a time where we honor the courage, service, and commitment of those who lost their lives while serving our country. This day reminds us that true leadership is rooted in purpose and sacrifice.

As we build businesses, lead organizations, and serve others, let’s not forget the deeper meaning behind what we do is the impact that goes beyond ourselves. Take a moment today to reflect and consider how your work is creating lasting impact for those you’re called to serve.

Kingdom businesses should value people, honor work and handle compensation with integrity. You should be fairly compensated for your work and so should your partners and your team.

If your website isn’t helping you grow, it’s not doing enough.

A well-built website isn’t just an online presence, it’s a growth engine. It should attract the right audience, build trust instantly, and convert visitors into real opportunities.

In fact, businesses that actively use their website to engage customers can see 15–50% revenue growth compared to those that don’t.

In this video, S. Mays Designs CEO, Stephanie, breaks down how your website can actually support your business growth beyond just “looking good.”

If you’re ready for a website that brings in leads, supports your marketing, and works as a 24/7 sales tool, this is a must-watch.

If your message isn’t clear, your marketing won’t work.
If your audience isn’t defined, your content won’t convert.
And if your brand isn’t aligned, your growth will stall.

One thing we’ve noticed working with growing businesses and organizations: most don’t have a visibility problem, but a clarity problem.

Before a website can perform, your foundation has to be solid. That means knowing exactly who you serve, what you stand for, and how to communicate it effectively.

That’s why we don’t start with design, we start with strategy. Because when the foundation is right, everything else works better.

If you’re building or refining your brand with S.Mays Designs, our Foundational Brand Strategy Package is where we start. smaysdesigns.com/brandstrategy

What’s been more challenging for you—clarifying your message or getting visibility?

If your organization has grown, but your website hasn’t, that gap may be the very thing limiting your momentum. If you’re starting to feel that tension in your operations, it’s time to stop patching and start building properly.

Let’s talk about what that could look like for you. Visit smaysdesigns.com/website-design today.

It’s not your imagination, your website very well may not be working for you, but against you. Your website should serve as your strategic, digital business partner, and if it’s not you are leaving opportunities and revenue on the table.

Your website might look good… but still cost you opportunities.
If your message isn’t instantly clear, people won’t stay long enough to understand your value.
And when that happens, growth gets harder than it needs to be.

I’ve worked with businesses and organizations that invested in a website, only to realize it wasn’t actually supporting their goals, it just existed.

The difference comes down to this: Design makes it look good. Strategy makes it work.

In our latest blog, our CEO Stephanie Mays breaks this down, including what most businesses overlook and how to approach your website in a way that actually supports growth.
