Kristin spends much of the year traveling the country, building meaningful relationships and conversations everywhere she goes. Behind the scenes, she’s constantly creating new opportunities, resources, and experiences for our LEAD members, and she’s the familiar face hosting many of our virtual events.

Another Small Business that has greatly impacted me through the years, is All Things Social .

I met Sami back in 2016 when we were both working fulltime for small businesses. Our passion for marketing instantly connected us and over the years, Sami has grown her passion into her own business.

This morning on the first day of celebrating Small Business Month, I had the pleasure of hearing Rachel Edwards, founder of Insperai Inc.. I've had the pleasure of knowing and learning from her for roughly two years, and this morning she said something that just "clicked".

She said, "People Skills are NOT Soft Skills." And this one sentence meant a lot to me. In my heart I already knew this, and she had one heck of a way to reinforce it. I've literally built a career and a business off of "people skills". On social media. In networking. Through all of my volunteering over the past 25 years.

Thank you, Rachel, for giving me something that I'll be talking about for awhile. And for those that need a boost of inspiration... Rachel, here, founded a tech company that is going to change the game for businesses and teams. I'm so incredibly proud of her. Go give her a follow.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day to the Real MVPs out there!

My Director of Barketing, Hershey, also wears an admin hat at my office. She keeps me on track, makes sure I take my scheduled breaks, and lets me know when mail and packages arrive.
