On May 15th 2012, for the first time in 35 years a new Florida agricultural cooperative put the finishing legal touches on a painting that began almost two years prior from a dream of David Disbrow. The Sunshine State Biomass Cooperative (SSBC) seated a board, elected officers, ratified its bylaws, and approved marketing agreements in unanimous votes. The mood was upbeat and postivie as the board

elected David Disbrow as its President, Deva Khalsa (Nanaks Landscaping) as Vice President, Max Garcia (M&P Services) as Treasurer, and Fred Lica (Prestige Property Management) as Secretary. On August 15th 2014 The Sunshine State Biomass Cooperative signed a 10 year marketing and management agreement with BioCarbon Technologies Inc. Through individual marketing agreements between the SSBC and its member owners the SSBC is able to commit a considerable amount of biomass feedstock to BCT. From this feedstock BCT creates valuable agricultural products to sell to large whole sale customers and even back to the SSBC members at a reduced cost.
