Most people see the success, but they rarely hear the stories behind it. That’s the idea behind PROSPERAR: Latinos in Business, hosted by the CSUF Giles- O’Malley Center for Leadership and Vibe Marketing Agenci. We created this event to bring together Latino entrepreneurs, executives, and community leaders to share the real journeys behind building companies, leading organizations, and creating impact in our communities.

We’re hosting the 2nd annual event on April 9 from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM at the Cal State Fullerton, College of Business and Economics. It will be a great evening of honest conversations, networking, and learning from people doing meaningful work across Orange County and California.

The evening will be emceed by Hon. Gaddi H Vasquez, and current confirmed panelists include:

Radio turned voice into billion-dollar brand spend.
Television later dominated with $200B+ in global ad investment at its peak.

Today, social media is pushing past $300B+ in ad spend as brands shift budgets toward platforms where relationships and attention live daily.

Mass media didn’t disappear.
The investment simply moved.

On February 10th, CSUF Center for Family Business hosted a workshop on the concept of polarities, moving from friction to flow in family businesses led by Adele DiMaarco. We discussed how resistance to change can arise and how viewing it as an opportunity for growth can make a positive difference in your family business.

We were especially grateful to hear reflections from family business leaders Sran Tanjasiri and Timothy Hemstreet, who shared their insights and takeaways from the workshop.

In addition, we were also proud to highlight Nonprofit Organization CHOC Children’s. Thank you for the work you do for the community!

CSUF Center for Family Business, brought together family business leaders for From Friction to Flow: Mastering Family Business Polarities, led by Adele DiMarco. Through real conversations and shared experiences, participants explored how friction can become a source of clarity, alignment, and forward momentum.

It was an honor to attend the 30th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Awards Breakfast.

This year’s theme, “What Is Your Life’s Blueprint?”, carried real weight, especially through the story shared by Rev. Wesley Crawford on how Dr. King’s words changed the direction of his life and led him into decades of service and leadership.

We’re grateful to the MLK Jr. Committee for continuing to create a space that celebrates unity, education, and long-term community impact. Seeing Rev. Crawford honored alongside his son Sunni made the moment even more meaningful.

Congratulations to all of this year’s awardees for their dedication and lasting contributions to our community.
