Google recently announced that in March 2024 they are turning off the free websites made with Google Business Profile (GBP) listings. Yep, they’re shutting down websites ending with business.site and negocio.site.

Traffic to these Google websites will be redirected to the associated GBP until June 10. After that, a 404 error message will appear when prospects and customers try to access these websites.

Businesses that don’t own a dedicated website may be left with only their GBP business listing as their online presence. So, right now is the best time to ensure it’s optimized!

NO OTHER WEBSITE?
If you have no other website, it’s not just important but imperative that your Google Business Profile be optimized because it may be the only way customers can find you online.

The Heritage Land Preservation Trust in Torrington, CT has a new website! The website showcases several of their most popular properties, many of which have hiking trails and water features for all to enjoy. The Support Us page details ways to become involved with the Trust including options for online donations. Check out their new website at hlptrust.org.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Andrew Schacht while building a new website for his business. The Pantheon Education LLC website was launched last week! See the domain name at the top of the picture of the site.

Andrew is an Independent Educational Consultant based out of Burlington, CT. The services his business provides include tutoring, educational counseling, and secondary school placement, as well as college essay writing and interview coaching.
