Badder than old King Kong and meaner than a junkyard dog! đŸŽ¶

This is an illustration I had sitting on my iPad for a LONG time because I didn’t know what I wanted to do with it, but I feel like I finally figured out a concept.

Whenever I hear Jim Croce’s “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown” I always picture a big jerk similar to Bluto from Popeye, which is what the character above is heavily influenced by. I’ve always wanted to draw something based on Jim Croce’s work, and while this is the first, I’m sure it won’t be the last!

A little look into the branding I did for Crown & Core Therapeutic Massage. My client wanted to combine a spinal cord with a crown while still including some symbolism to healing and faith.

I created a series of brand icons that incorporated shapes from the main logo to represent some values such as: renewal (diffuser), spiritual healing (flower), mental clarity (mask), physical relaxation (lotion), and emotional peace (candle).

Check out this timelapse video of the design I created for Citylight West Council Bluffs’ Kids Week! This video is only 30 seconds, but covers over 9 hours of work. (Not including the work it took to turn this into a vector format!)
