We’re finally rebuilding the Reversed Out website and hoping to launch it next week.
Like most agencies, we spend all our time working on everyone else’s stuff and ours takes a backseat. Mostly because we’re slammed, and building something good takes a lot of internal developer time. We needed something useful on the site so we decided on a website audit tool.
The discovery we had was that a lot of website audits were created before AI search became a thing. They check your SEO, tell you your images are too big, and point out a few technical issues. This one is going much deeper.
You guys know search habits are changing because you’ve probably changed yours. Companies need to have the traditional SEO but also AI visibility. Their websites need to be understood and cited by tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.
The good part is that we’ve finally reached a point where enough is known about how these systems identify brands, evaluate trust, and choose sources that we can actually build many of those checks into the audit itself. And we’re making it free.
Part of it is using API‘s from several tools we pay for, but a big chunk had to be custom developed by our team. We didn’t want to just put out something that already exists, and those things alone aren’t getting the job done anyway. I still need to be able to use this for my purposes and not have to go into five different sites to get what I need.
Again, this feels like one of those moments where the people who adapt early are going to have a major advantage. And this is why I love this industry. Just when things start getting stagnant, some new tech comes along that I have to learn about, and it keeps things exciting.
I’ll post the audit tool here once it’s ready. I’d love to see what it finds on some of your websites.
