AI-Generated Design Policy
At Barrett Signs, we recognize that AI-generated artwork has become a popular way to explore ideas and visualize concepts. We welcome customers to share AI-generated images as inspiration for their projects.
However, AI-generated artwork is intended to serve as a concept—not as production-ready artwork. Many AI images contain elements that may be derived from existing styles or source material, and they often cannot be reproduced exactly or legally for commercial use. In addition, many AI-generated effects, textures, lighting, and intricate details do not translate well into professional logo design, vinyl graphics, large-format printing, carved signs, embroidery, or other production methods.
Our goal is to create artwork that is original, functional, scalable, and suitable for the intended application. In many cases, AI artwork must be completely redrawn, vectorized, simplified, or redesigned before it can be manufactured to professional standards.
Beginning immediately, any project submitted with AI-generated artwork will be evaluated individually. If the artwork requires conversion, cleanup, vectorization, or redesign, a conversion fee will apply. In many cases, the time required to convert an AI-generated concept into usable production artwork is comparable to creating a custom design from scratch.
Some simple AI-generated concepts may require only minor revisions, while more complex images may need extensive reconstruction. We will always discuss the scope of work and any applicable conversion fees before beginning your project.
