To all of my Facebook friends and family, this will be a long post 🤕💔👋.
I just want to explain my absence for so long. I closed my shop on March 31,2025 and began working from home. I have had knee problems for a while. So I finally decided to address the problem and quit putting it off because it was getting harder to get up and down the stairs at home.
So on September 3, 2025 I had knee replacement surgery. I expected to be out for a couple of months and bounce right back with business as usual, as November and December are very busy months for RG Creations.
However, that was not the case. I had issues, problems and complications from the very beginning. I will not go into details but I will say, if something doesn't feel right it probably isn't. If you ask questions and aren't having those specific questions answered by the doctor, then you probably need to act on those feelings.
They say "everyone is different" when it comes to healing with a knee replacement. The standard for this surgery is 3-6 months. Well, after 3 months of struggling with physical therapy (PT), not getting any solutions from my doctor or his staff and still walking with an very noticeable limp and a cane, I decided to get a second opinion.
On the morning of December 17th, I saw a physician assistant (PA) for a new doctor. I was able to ask any and all questions had x-rays taken and labs drawn. That afternoon, I received a phone call from the PA regarding my labs and was asked to come back into the office for other test to be done.
On December 18th, I saw the same PA to have fluid drawn from my knee. Before that the PA was explaining what the lab results meant and why I was called back in. During that conversation, the doctor came in, introduced himself and asked could he look at my knee. He said he had watched me walk into the room, looked at my chart and he could not let me continue to walk like that.
Let me just say, I had more answers with this group in two days than I've had in ten months with the original group.
Fast forward to February 10, 2026 I had knee revision from the second doctor. Or to put it in layman's terms, he did the complete surgery over. He spoke with my daughter afterwards, answered all of her questions and reassured her everything would be fine.
The first surgery was outpatient, the second was inpatient because the doctor wanted to make sure there were no problems before he sent me home.
One week after my revision, I can definitely feel a difference and I am able to move my knee more than I was able to after 5 months with the first surgery.
I say all of this to say, please bare with me a little while longer. I'm currently in PT and also doing follow-up appointments with my PA and doctor. I'm not 100% yet but I will be back to business as usual soon.
I don't have an exact date but I will say give me the rest of February and March to heal and I should be ready to work as usual the beginning of April.
Thank you for your patience and concern and I will be back to creating all your needs soon. In the mean time, I will be posting some of the work I have done before my surgery and the few things I've done after the first surgery. Your prayers for healing are always welcomed and I thank you in advance. ❤️🥰❤️
