***Update***

At 2:49 PM, a female was recovered by rescue divers from the lake. The Lake County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and recovered the decedent.

We highly encourage anyone who wants to swim in open water or in a pool to wear a life vest.

***Possible Drowning at Robinson Lake***

On June 18, 2023 at approximately 12:52 PM, Hobart officers responded to Robinson Lake in reference to a possible drowning. Officers entered the lake in the area where witnesses said they seen a female go under the water, but they were unable to locate her.

Hobart Fire Department dive team and other dive teams from surrounding agencies are also on scene searching for the female.

Indiana Department of Natural Resources is on scene and will be investigating this incident.
