President and Owner Darren Zancan earned his bachelor's degree in journalism and broadcast electronic media at Eastern Kentucky University. He earned his master's program in business journalism, with a video concentration, at the prestigious Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in the su
mmer of 2012. He is an award-winning journalist, capturing Kentucky Press Association honors on several occasions. His awards include Best Sports Story, Best Sports Column, Best Editorial Page, Best Front Page Design, Best Ongoing Coverage and Best Sports Page. Zancan also has several years of acting experience. In 2007, Zancan won the reality TV show "I Wanna Be a Soapstar," earning a role on the hit daytime TV show "Days of Our Lives." He's also appeared in several commercials, TV shows and a handful of movies. In 2008, Zancan worked in radio in Lexington doing weather and news updates, along with several commercial segments for ESPN 1300, 96.1 FM and 107.9 FM. With more than 10 years of journalism and video experience, he found his passion in videography, which resulted in starting his own company DMZ Video Productions, LLC., in 2012.
